Let's Meet the Owner ~ Nicole

" Hello! My name is Nicole and I’m the creator of Lucky Dog Art Prints where I get to combine adorable dog silhouettes with fun, colorfully designed textures to create unique works of art. Here’s me in a nutshell: I’m a newlywed, a dog-mom to two, a runner, and I love to cook and sew. By day I’m a graphic designer for a magazine, but in my free time I wanted to create designs for myself and share them with as many people as I can. That’s how Lucky Dog was born. "

" Growing up in the Midwest, I was always surrounded by pets. But it wasn’t until college when I met Ellie, my bossy yet fabulous Pembroke Welsh Corgi, that I truly fell in love with dogs. Flash forward 5 years and I’ve added one more to our pack, a rescued Corgi mix named Mac, and I couldn’t be happier. They are a huge part of my inspiration to open Lucky Dog Art Prints and I really want to use my passion to help dogs in need. That’s why I donate a portion of my sales to local no-kill shelters and rescue groups. "

" I love doing custom work for people! Recently I had the pleasure of designing art for a beloved Lab that had passed away. When people send me their pet’s images to create these one-of-a-kind prints, I feel so honored that they’re trusting me with capturing a little piece of this amazing creature’s soul. I try to get a feel for the dog’s individual personality and let the colors and textures flow from there. "

" Hi! I'm Wemi, the hands and brains behind ToshCreations where I handcraft beautiful and unique baby clothes bouquets as gifts for new mums and babies. I'm a mum of two, a wife and a scientist by profession and I opened my Etsy shop some months ago at the start of my maternity leave for my second child. "

" I first started making baby clothes bouquets because I wanted to give my friends something unusual and beautiful. A baby clothes bouquet fits the bill perfectly and ToshCreations was born! The bouquets also have the bonus of doubling as a gift for both mum and baby. Filled with bodysuits, socks, muslin cloths, mittens, hats and bibs, they are very practical as the clothes can simply be unravelled for baby to wear. They can also be used as centrepieces at baby showers and make a lasting keepsake; parents often tell me that they'd rather keep them on display. :) "

" I do a lot of custom work and in fact those are my favourites - crafting a bouquet according to your colour preferences. I also make other unique baby gifts such as onesie and sock cupcakes and washcloth lollipops. I ship worldwide from my Etsy shop and my bouquets come with a blank greeting card that can be personalised with a message of your choice. Let's Meet the Owner ~ Katharine

“Welcome to Pixels and Parts! I’m truly terrible at public speaking (public typing?!) so I guess I’ll just get stuck in! My name is Katharine, and I’m the owner of a business and Etsy Store called Pixels and Parts. I’m a 36 year old graphic designer, living in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand. I’m happily married, and have a wonderful daughter. My interests include MMO gaming, graphics, music, hanging out with friends, and finding as many rainbows as I can! I’m very involved in the LGBTQ community, and as you probably guessed my favorite color is rainbow.”

“So what is Pixels and Parts? After my husband and I moved to New Zealand I wanted to start my own business – something small, manageable, and local. I decided my two most marketable skills were graphic design and computer support, hence “Pixels” and “Parts”. My intent was just to market locally and do custom work, but that all changed when I was hooked into the world of Etsy.”

“I started out making art prints with famous or popular quotes (I’m a huge Potter-head, as you’ll see!). Everything from movie quotes, to T.V. shows, to famous musicians and philosophers. Recently I’ve branched out and started creating graphics specifically to help other Etsy sellers brighten up their stores. Not everyone is a graphic designer, and many shops are left looking bland and boring with only basic graphic work. So I’ve begun to offer banner and avatar kits, customized with your unique shop name and tagline, to give your Etsy shop a “Wow” factor. These are available in multiple sizes, from a basic 2-piece starter kit all the way up to a 12-piece “everything covered” kit. I also do completely custom work for just about anything – Etsy shop graphics, posters, invitations, and much more!
